Take as an example something as 'simple' as threads, then apply that thinking to other stuff built in to the software. Just saying that every use case is different. But does a lack of experience set you up for drama? Maybe.ģD printing allows geometry a machine shop would reject, so maybe only an experienced engineer should be pushing that envelope? No, not at all, so while experience does matter, lack of it should not present a barrier. Fusion does a pretty darn good job of it. The promise of CAD is to capture some of the underlying engineering expertise in the software. So first, go get an engineering degree, lol, J/K, not really. The software gives you the precision, but your brain picks the numbers and design concepts. OK well if you ask for the right way, what you need IMO is someone who doesn't sugar coat it for you.ĬAD as a skill set is an extension of Mechanical Engineering.
